REINSTATEMENT — HIRING STATUS: CLOSED
INFORMATION
Reinstatements are for former employees who have previously resigned from the Liberty City Police Department under honorable conditions.
Former employees will be disqualified if they have been convicted of a felony, domestic violence misdemeanor, or have been dishonorably discharged from the military since their break from LCPD service. Former employees may also be disqualified if they demonstrate a history of disrespect for the law, a tendency toward violence, termination from a job for poor behavior, or not adjusting to discipline. Former employees acknowledge, that when filing a reinstatement or Lateral Transfer, providing false information on their paperwork, being dishonest, or misleading shall lead to being barred from employment with the LCPD.
Previously sworn officers may be required to attend additional training before fully returning to patrol duties to ensure up to date knowledge of department policies as well as state and municipal ordnances and laws.
